Making the choice for Holistic Health
WE TREAT THE WHOLE PERSON
We move from an understanding that the mental, emotional, and physical bodies are connected and can effect each other. When treating disease, we look for the underlying root of the dysfunction and apply our treatments accordingly. Our clients are often surprised at the overall improvement of their health, when it was only one ailment that brought them in.
We EMPOWER AND EDUCATE
As your partner in health, we work to empower and educate you to feel confident in taking care of your body and wellness. It is this education, in combination with our therapies that allow for optimal results with your health that lasts a lifetime.
WE TREAT THE CAUSE
By restoring balance, customized nutritional plans alter your susceptibility to disease so that over time, your immune system becomes stronger and you are less likely to get sick.
What is Integrative Health?
"Integrative medicine and health reaffirms the importance of the relationship between practitioner and patient, focuses on the whole person, is informed by evidence, and makes use of all appropriate therapeutic and lifestyle approaches, healthcare and disciplines to achieve optimal health and healing." The Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine and Health
To integrate means “To make into a whole by bringing all parts together; unify.” Often times, integrative providers will analyze risk factors and treat for “pre” disease states, slowing the progression or even halting the presentation of an official disease state. The emergence of integrative medicine has offered patients a healing centered model focused on shared decision making.
Is Integrative Health right for me?
Integrative health is the future paradigm for holistic health care: the cornerstone of care is preventive medicine and the focus is identifying the root cause of disease or symptomatology. Clients are more educated than ever before and demand to be a partner in their healthcare decisions. Many clients who seek Integrative Health are interested in a client centered relationship, where clients are given the full attention of their practitioner and provided with informed treatment options.
Are certain health conditions better suited for Integrative Health care?
All disease and healthy states are well suited for Integrative Health care. Many clients want to maintain their youth and good health – they desire knowledge of recommended supplements and lifestyle adjustments. We also see many clients who have seen numerous providers and have not found a cause for their symptoms. It is not unusual for clients with auto-immune, fatigue, fibromyalgia, GI disorders, menopause, thyroid disease or concerns to visit us. Often times, clients are seeking comprehensive care for a complex, long standing disease state. It is important to remember that it takes years for disease to manifest and it will take time to support the body to heal, however with a committed provider and client partnership, optimal health is possible!
Clients often say, “I wish that I had found you sooner!”.
